Abstract

The paper has thoroughly discussed the problems that global environment is facing and special emphasis has been given to the problems of large corporations and their notions of global, national, and local sustainability. The main purpose of this paper is to creatively discuss the importance of green strategies for community development by primarily considering current notions within community development with particular emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CRS) and sustainability. These green strategies are: (a) eco-efficiency; (b) compliance leadership; (c) eco-branding; and (d) environmental cost leadership. These green strategies will promote community wellness and sustainability through effective collaboration of all the stakeholders including corporate as well as social organizations and these strategies will also help corporation to be profitable by being green.
